Coffee in Portland...

1) Heart. My friend Danni and I have discovered the cute little coffee shop called Heart. They roast their own coffee and you can get a cup of plain ole' joe for $1. The shop is super cute but not overly fancy. They don't really serve any food and they don't have many flavors... actually I think they only have two; plain or vanilla. They are located on the corner of Burnside and 22nd. Check out their website at Heartroasters.com.
2) Stumptown. This place is kind of famous. You may have read about a rabbit named Don frequenting Stumptown in a little book called Blue Like Jazz by Donald Miller. Due to popularity, there are multiple Stumptown locations around Portland. My favorite is the one on Belmont. Their coffee is always perfect and they always deliver some mean latte art when you have your coffee "for here". 3) Random Order. I have only been to random order once so far but my non-fat, caramel latte was perfect and there was a selection of pies taunting me from the pastry case. It was a pretty pricey establishment and people were a little too close for comfort due to lack of space but I definitely enjoyed the coffee. Mmm. RandomOrderCoffee.com.
